Take a look inside the 2019 Toyota Supra

This prototype is Toyota-made and eliminates the BMW Z4-sourced parts.

We are closer to the world premiere of the Toyota Supra as spy shots get more and more detailed with each batch. We can now see inside the cabin of this two-seater coupe as it tackles the Nurburgring in the latest photos. Our spies found that most interior parts were taken from the BMW Z4.

The digital driver’s screen and the design of its leather-wrapped steering wheels are both on display. This is a rare chance to view them. It is the only offering, as Toyota recently stated that the 2019 Supra doesn’t require a manual transmission.

The center console appears to have the infotainment screen, which is high above the climate controls and air vents. The dashboard layout is similar to the Z4 concept’s, and could indicate that the two cars will share some interior parts. The similarities are evident in this photo, particularly when it comes to the appearance and feel of the center console.

The platform will be shared by the Z4 and Supra, but BMW as well as Toyota promise that the cars will be completely different. The Supra will have a 50/50 weight distribution and a simple two-seat layout, according to what we know. Although the long-rumored hybrid engine might not be made, a beefier version with Gazoo Racing branding may. This was evident by the concept car that was displayed last month in Geneva.

The new Supra will be revealed by Toyota sometime in the fall, just after the debut of the BMW Z4 this summer. Magna Steyr, Austria’s factory that makes the Supra and Z4 will likely have both cars on its assembly line.

It is worth noting that the Supra could be the most photographed car by spy photographers. The first batch photos dates back to September 7, 2016, and a quick look in the database shows many other sets.
