The Hyundai Sonata’s new generation debuted earlier in the month, with a design that was inspired by the Le Fil Rouge concept . The eighth version of the South Korean sedan introduced a new design to the midsize sedan. It features a more sleek, -inspired body and larger dimensions.

The automaker did not release seven images of the vehicle’s official debut in March. (See the gallery below). We were left with many questions about the design. A new video of 20 minutes has been posted by the folks at Asian Petrolhead On YouTube This gives us a complete walkaround of the new Sonata It shines more light on its appearances.
Did you know, for example, that the LED daytime running strips integrated into the headlights run in the space between the front fenders & the hood. This creates a unique C-shaped light signature at front that matches well with the chrome trim in bumper. The chrome trim on the side windows connects to the LED strip at front.
It has a sleeker exterior and a slightly larger body. It has a 1.4-inch wider wheelbase and is approximately one inch closer to ground. The Sonata looks sportier and more dynamic than its predecessor.
The new Sonata will launch with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. The video below focuses on the South Korean model. It will also be available in a 2.0 LPI version that runs on liquefied petroleum gases (LPG).
It is possible to expand the range with the addition of a turbo-powered 1.6-liter version and a hybrid model before the end of the year. The New York Auto Show will reveal more details about the 2020 Sonata, which is American-spec.
