Watch Suzuki Swift Go Airborne After Hitting Roundabout

You’ll be oblivious if you blink.

Due to the imposition of quarantine and lockdown in most parts of the globe, the coronavirus epidemic has eliminated the usual number of vehicles in plight. However, this is not an excuse to drive recklessly whenever we have the opportunity. It is also not a permit to drive after drinking.

Some people don’t understand it. This was evident in the accident in Poland on Easter Sunday. After missing a roundabout, a Suzuki Swift was involved in an awful crash. The actual CCTV footage from the incident can be viewed on the embedded video at the top of this page. It is courtesy of Telewizja Aleksandrow Lodzki.

According to Polish Radio SA the Swift was speeding up as it approached a roundabout. The driver misjudged the turn and accelerated through the gutter of the rotunda, sending the Swift into the air as a stunt car.

The car crashed into a cemetery, hitting buildings and landing on the property. The car was totally wrecked as you can see from the police image. Because the car crashed so badly, firefighters had to remove the driver, aged 41, to free him from the car. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police suspect the driver was drunk as there was an alcohol-like smell when he was removed from the vehicle. At the moment, authorities are performing a blood test.

This is a reminder to everyone that it is not okay to drive under the influence of alcohol. You will endanger not only your life, but also the lives of others.
