Toyota Land Cruiser Overland Camper Wants to Travel Around The World

They recently reached Alaska. We now wait for their next destination.

For a long time, we’ve seen many Toyota Land Cruiser camper converts. The iconic Toyota Land Cruiser nameplate is an ideal platform for a motorhome which could travel anywhere.

But Tim and Kelsey have a different destination in their custom J80 Land Cruiser Overland Camper – to travel around the globe.

The couple, Dirt Sunrise is a social media name. They have been on the road for three years. They’ve been traveling across South America for two years in a truck. Then they decided to buy a Land Cruiser overland camper to convert to custom Land Cruisers. Maltec, a German company, did the conversion.

Kelsey and Tim decided to get the Land Cruiser to allow them to travel off-road. Although they had to sacrifice space to allow for off-road capability, that was what they wanted.

Tiny Home Tours took a deep dive to show the Land Cruiser overland camping vehicle. These amenities are sufficient to help the couple travel the world.

The Land Cruiser’s powerful engine remains – a straight six turbodiesel motor with a full time four-wheel drivetrain. It is equipped with front, center and rear differential locks for extreme off-roading adventures. The snorkel allows the truck to wiggle through water where other vehicles would not.

Dirt Sunrise stated in the video that they were on their way to Alaska, but as you can see in their latest upload, it looks like they have already made it. We wouldn’t be surprised if the couple travels beyond America with a rig like this.
