It was built at $135,000
You would think with a name such as “Sexcursion”, this heavily modified Ford Excursion would come equipped with shag carpeting, a bed and an interior. Nope. You’ll instead find a 60-inch Samsung TV and two smaller ones embedded within the Ford’s split-open rear tailgate. These are just a few of many improvements Franklin Williams, Onslow County North Carolina, made to his SUV. It is featured in a Barcroft Cars YouTube video.
Williams purchased the 2003 Excursion 10 years ago to haul equipment for work. It was then made into a family vehicle. His son suggested that they make it a show truck. Williams started the Excursion five years ago with just a modest lift, 20-inch tires, and a modest lift. The Excursion now has a 19 inch lift, 42-inch tires and 30-inch wheels. Custom lug nuts are used to prevent thieves.
The addition of gold accents and a lifted suspension on a white exterior will make heads turn. But so can its scissor doors – “Lambo”. They are still stock, but have a modified hinge assembly and lift assembly. Williams took three days to get the TVs to fit. However, they now open to reveal a completely redesigned interior with alligator leather and ostrich skin. You will also find two more TVs, one at each door, and sun visors. The sound system has been upgraded.
The Ford has custom parts like the bumper and grille, badges and even the headlights which have “Sexcursion” etched into the lenses. The 6.0-liter diesel engine under the hood is aided by a five-inch custom TSO exhaust tip. Williams managed to get it up to 125 mph (201 km/h). The engine bay also has gold accents. Williams’ Sexcursion has been around for almost 20 years, but it still looks great as a show truck. It has been awarded over 100 awards.
