1972 Plymouth Fury 400 Wagon has Rustic Look, Doesn’t Need Polishing

An American station wagon that is wide and wild, now living in the UK.

We have to be honest with you, friends. We don’t often talk enough about the station wagon. While utilities of all sizes and types dominate today’s market, there was once a time when every American family owned a station wagon. This Plymouth Fury 400 Custom Suburban Station Wagon is our tribute to wagon mania.

It’s probably not what you expected. It’s not what you expected. We love classic cars with original paint and restored interiors. But there is something special about an older car with a natural patina. This 1972 Plymouth is the star of one of the most recent episodes of the Hand Built Cars series, which can be viewed on YouTube. Let’s get to know the owner.

Mark has been passionately involved in American cars for over 15 years. He generally doesn’t see any reason to return to cars made outside the USA. He recently purchased the Plymouth after selling his 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. He was searching for something totally different, a car that he could drive every day without worrying about scratching the paint. The Plymouth provided all of this and more.

Mark explains that the storage was originally used for storage. Mark also explains that the man bought the container to store motorcycle parts. He loaded it with parts for his motorcycle and took it to the gunnels. I took the car to the UK in a container and brought it back. It was not registered in the UK so I had to register it.

This car is amazing! Patina is the result of the sun fading the color. Mark now cares for it and oil it every once in a while, rather than polishing it. You probably already guessed that Mark is actually located in the UK. This is a large American wagon that’s being driven daily in England. This is amazing!
