The Audi A9 concept is getting new details ahead of its supposed debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Autocar says the concept is under construction. It will be used by the company to show off its future styling direction.
Audi has not revealed much about the car, but sources tell the magazine that it will be a four door coupe with laser headlights.
This concept will also be used to show off a production model that could launch in 2017, to compete with the Porsche Panamera or Mercedes CLS. It will be based on MLB Evo and heavily inspired by 2016.
Although details are still unknown, the A9 will be available with a range of engines, including a twin turbo 3.0-liter V6 or a twin turbo 4.0-liter H8. This engine is also expected to be used in the S9, where it is said to produce 600 bhp (447kW).
Rumours suggest that there will be two diesel options, including a 3.0-liter engine V6 or a 4.0-liter engine V8. Although there are rumors of petrol-diesel plug-in hybrid versions, nothing has been confirmed.
