Is it worth paying the high price for the world’s fastest production SUV?
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the world’s fastest SUV, with a 505-horsepower (376 kilowatts), V6 engine. All that power comes with a steep price. Alfa Romeo announced the Stelvio quadrifoglio starting MSRP at $79,995, excluding the $1,595 destination charge, making the total cost $81,590.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is certainly not cheap at this price. It’s $38,000 more than the standard Stelvio which starts at $41,995. The standard Stelvio has a 2.0-liter engine that produces just 280 horsepower (208 kW). It’s still competitively priced compared to some of its closest competitors.
The 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo starts at $87.495, but it still produces 65 horsepower (48kW) more than the Stelvio. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s closest competitor is the Mercedes-AMG GLC63S, which produces 503 horsepower (375 kW) and can be purchased for $80,000. The Alfa Romeo Giulia quadrifoglio sedan is priced at $73,700, not including destination.
“The Stelvio quadrifoglio was designed to be a standout among high-performance vehicles. It does not disappoint, whether it is driven on the Nurburgring circuit or on roads throughout North America,” stated Tim Kuniskis. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with the most powerful Alfa Romeo engine and an advanced Q4 all-wheel drive system. It offers an exhilarating driving experience.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has all the horsepower you need to sprint to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed around 176 mph (283 km/h). This power is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.
