2018 VW Polo Gets 200-hp from Day One

It is almost as large as a fourth-generation Golf.

VW’s 2018 Polo model has been unveiled, the sixth generation in its highly profitable supermini.

The new car is larger than ever and has more luggage space than any other model. It now holds 351 liters of luggage, up 25% from the previous model.

VW also makes full use of the MQB platform to reduce engineering costs and make room for technology that you would normally see on larger cars.

The new Polo comes with an automatic cruise control, emergency brake assistance, blind spot detection and LED headlights. There is also a digital instrument panel and an 8-inch infotainment display screen. The Polo also offers keyless entry and start for the first time.

The Polo will be available with nine Euro 6-compliant engines that are emissions-friendly. These range from a 1.0-liter gasoline that produces 65 horsepower to the brand-new 1.5-liter gasoline which generates 150 horsepower and cylinder deactivation. Two 1.6-liter diesel engines produce 80 hp and 95 hp.

The new GTi model is a great choice for performance enthusiasts. It arrives immediately at launch with an incredible 200 horsepower from its turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. We can’t wait until we get our hands on it.

The Polo is still easily recognisable, but the Polo has improved its style, although it is more subtle than a complete redesign. The so-called “tornado line” that runs along the car’s side from the indicator repeaters to the rear lights will be a talking point.

The new Polo looks wider and more mature at the front. This is partly due to the 7 cm (2.7 inch) increase in its width. Also, styling lines that emphasise and accent the car’s width, especially the chrome grille that flows into the LED headlights, are also responsible.

The interior is more elegant, and you won’t feel ashamed to invite your friends to the car. Volkswagen has joined the personalization revolution a little late in its career, but it is excited about the possibilities presented by the 14 exterior colors, 13 different dashboard decorations and 11 different seat covers.

The Polo Beats is also a hit with kids, thanks to its 16 inch alloys, stickers, and 300-watt sound system that Dr. Dre approved.

The doors to Europe will open in the latter part of the year, and the first customers should have their car by January 2018. Prices for Germany start at EUR12,975.
