Blue Oval is proud that it offers America’s most powerful light-duty pickup truck.
The Ford F-150 Raptor could be described as putting on a suit by being fitted with the Limited trim for the 2019 model. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine under the 2018 F-150 Limited’s bonnet had 375 horsepower, 470 pound-feet (637 Nm) of torque and 397 Nm. But Ford has introduced a new high-output version that produces 450 hp, 510 lb-ft (692 NM) and is capable of producing 450 hp. These numbers may seem familiar because the Raptor version has the exact same power.
The 2019 F-150 Limited gains 20 horsepower and 40 lb-ft (54 Nm) in power. It also features a new dual exhaust system that makes the most of the V6’s sound through the sporty cutouts on the rear bumper.
There’s more! The 2019MY features new Camel Back leather upholstery in two colors, as well as ventilated captain’s seats that offer better lumbar support. A heated steering wheel is included in the list, which should be useful during winter. Ford will add a laser-etched individual numbers plaque to the center console armrest as an added touch. This is to remind you that this F-150 is not your ordinary F-150.
Ford’s F150 is the most expensive F150 you can buy. It is no surprise that Ford has included a lot of tech such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, as well as pre-collision assistance featuring automatic emergency brake. The lane parking and active parks assist systems are standard, as well as a Harman sound system, 360-degree camera and a trailer brake controller.
Buyers can add Pro Trailer Backup Assist at an additional charge to allow the F-150 to steer by following the route selected with the rotary knob.
Ford has not yet revealed the pricing, but it says that the 2019 F-150 Limited will be available for purchase later in 2019. The 2018MY starts at $61,360 to give you an idea of the cost.
