The rear design of the optional exhaust is almost as controversial than the front.

BMW can help you add more features to your fully-loaded M car via its Performance Parts catalog. The new M3 Sedan is already being shown with an array of add-ons to the standard equipment of these two top-of-the-line models.

The most notable upgrade we noticed on the prototypes was the center-mounted exhaust system. It was the one that we first saw days before the official debut. The polarizing setup features flap control to adjust the sound as needed and quad titanium end tips coated with ceramic coating. BMW claims the sound it produces is inspired by race cars, and can change depending on the driving mode.

The M Performance Parts for the new M3 or M4 include a variety of carbon fiber bits. These can range from a front spoiler lip, canards, side skirts, and a diffuser. Customers can have the trunk lid spoiler repainted in carbon fiber, or they can swap it for a more attention-grabbing wing.

You can also choose from a variety of alloy wheels. They come in sizes up to 21 inches at the rear and 20 inches at your front axle. For those who want to be the center of attention while driving, there is a matte option in gold bronze. The suspension and braking systems have been modified to make them more responsive.

You can make the interior more modern with carbon fiber accents, Alcantara appointments and M-branded floormats. BMW offers an indoor car cover, a key wallet and LED projects that mount on the doors. These project lights show the M logo and other pertinent M Performance avatars.

These extras will all be available at next March’s market launch for the dynamic duo.
