Aftermarket shops don’t waste time and are already working on custom parts for the new BMW M3 or M4. Avante Design chose to concentrate on the two-door model and developed a full widebody package that gives the coupe a more aggressive look. Although the hate front grille remains, Avante Design has added a second design that brings back the normal-sized kidneys.
These renderings are not finalized at this time. Avante Design told us that development work has been completed and the widebody package will only be made in limited quantities. Three stages will be available. The beefiest stage makes the M4 nearly 18 cm wider than the standard car.
The coupe’s wider hips and aerodynamic enhancements are offset by a new hood that features dual vents and a power bulge. Although the XXL grille is more polarizing due to its aggressive front design, we think many people will prefer Avante Design’s traditional look adapted from the .
The rear wing is fixed and borrowed from BMW’s M Performance catalog. The rear and front bumpers have been upgraded with larger air intakes. While the sports coupe might now be a little more wild, it retains the OEM formula.
The only thing that is missing is the look-at me center exhaust, which features a pair of dual tips stacked like Lexus. These are available as M Performance-branded exhausts for the M3 or M4 and give the dynamic duo a rear design that is just as controversial as their front fascia. Already, we are wondering what BMW is up to regarding the design of the CSL, which is rumored to be out next year.
The M lineup will soon be updated with the M4 Convertible’s launch. This model is expected to be followed by the first-ever M3 touring production model in 2022.
