New model year brings more standard equipment.
Although the Infiniti HTML50 is the oldest premium sedan, the Japanese manufacturer has not yet decided to retire it. It is instead launching a new trim that joins the three previously available trim levels for this model.
The Sensory trim receives mainly exterior upgrades. These include a more aggressive front and back fascias as well as power folding, automatic-dimming outside lights with a reverse tilt down feature. You’ll find leather-wrapped sports chairs, a Bose premium sound system with 16 speakers, a black headliner, pillars and trim, and wood trim.
The brand’s base 2021 Q50 is available now at all of its showrooms across the country at a starting price of $36,600 (MSRP). The Pure model, even the entry-level, comes with a greater range of safety and assistance features, such as blind-spot warning and lane departure warning, intelligent around view monitor, adaptive cruise controller, high beam assist, and other standard safety and security systems.
The sedan’s exterior color options are now Slate Gray and Grand Blue. While the Red Sport 400 model has a new Black Matte Carbon Fiber interior trim, and black trim highlights, it is a more attractive design.
The 2021 Q50 is still available with a 3.0-liter turbo-gas engine producing 300 horsepower (223kilowatts), in the Pure, Lux and Sensory trims. The Q50 Red Sport also has a twin-turbocharged version with 400 horsepower (298 kW). The trim level determines whether the customer wants a standard rear-wheel drive system or an optional all wheel-drive system.
Infiniti launched a line of Edition 30-model models to celebrate the marque’s 30th year.
