Ceilings of special edition models are available for as low as 30 grand
The automaker has now launched Freedom Edition, a special edition model for the Jeep Cherokee. This is in the midst of the nameplate dispute and subsequent talks with Stellantis and Cherokee Nation.
The Jeep Wrangler is offering the Freedom Edition to honor the brand’s military heritage. The Cherokee lineup now includes the special edition model. Notable: The Cherokee’s last Freedom Edition was in 2000.
The Jeep Cherokee Freedom Edition offers 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain options. The equipment list is based upon the Cherokee Latitude. The list includes some special additions such as 18-inch matte black aluminum wheels, 225/60R18 BSW tour tires (225/55R18 all season tires for the 4×2 model), Oscar Mike “Military Star” hood decal, American Flag front emblem, glossy black roof rails and matte black grille surround.
The Freedom Edition is available in Bright White Clear-Coat or Sting-Gray at no additional cost (4×4 exclusive), while Diamond Black and Slate Blue are available for an additional $245.
Jeep has black cloth seats with Oscar Mike embossed accents on the front seats. There is also liquid titanium accent stitching and door trimmings. For an additional $265 you can opt for the Mopar Interior Package, which includes a cargo-area liner as well as Mopar slushmats.
The price for the 2021 Jeep Cherokee Freedom Edition is $27,705 (4×2) and $29,205 (4×4). These prices do not include any destination fees.
