It may be revealed before the end the year.
2013. The current-generation Pathfinder was unveiled in that year Nissan. Although it’s not the newest vehicle in Nissan’s line-up – we’re talking about Frontier, the Pathfinder is very old. We now have our first glimpse at the new Pathfinder. It is due to arrive in 2021.
The spy photographers captured this test vehicle today. It was well hidden by a thick body wrap and false panels that were strategically placed beneath to conceal body lines. We get the impression that next-generation Pathfinder will be a smaller evolutionary leap than a huge revolutionary leap. The current model’s proportions are similar, and the wrap that hangs near the grille indicates that it should have a similar face. The grille may be larger, but it’s not surprising considering current trends.
We have confirmation that this is a new Pathfinder. However, we are also informed that the SUV will continue to use its existing D platform. That’s the sam front-wheel-drive-based architecture used on several Nissan models including the Murano, Altima, and Maxima. It is expected that the Pathfinder will turn all four wheels and that the CVT will continue to deliver power. Nissan has kept everything secret about the new model. There are no rumors or leaks regarding interiors, engines, or any other details.
Nissan is quite adept at keeping the details of its future models secret. Normaly, a prototype is usually discovered for the first time in a year. Then, a reveal takes place. This timeframe is usually a few months with Nissan. Therefore, we expect to see the next-gen Pathfinder announced later in the year – possibly even as early as this summer – as a model for 2021.
