2021 SEAT Arona Facelift Revealed with More Rugged Xperience Trim

The logo of the corporate has been updated to have a dual-tone chrome finish. The model’s name is now handwritten.

SEAT is very busy today, with a double premier. Apart from the facelifted Ibiza and the Spanish arm Volkswagen Group, SEAT will also present an updated Arona. It’s basically a crossover version the supermini so it’s not surprising that the interior and exterior changes are similar.

The mid-cycle update brings with it the most significant novelty: the introduction of the rugged-looking Xperience trim. The new Xcellence model has been replaced. It features visual tweaks that enhance the crossover nature of the Arona, but it is still front-wheel-drive and does not offer AWD. It comes standard with full-LED headlights and a Nappa leather-wrapped steering column. This trim level is higher.

The 2021 Arona comes with the SEAT logo in a dual-tone chrome finish. Additionally, the model’s name is handwritten. The facelift includes new colors for the Arona: Sapphire Blue, Camouflage Green and Asphalt Blue. Also, a 17-inch alloy wheel set is available and two 18-inch options. The roof can also be painted in Candy White, which joins the Magnetic Gray or Black Midnight colors.

Every trim level has its own front grille and all Arona models have LED headlights for certain functions. SEAT has moved the fog lights higher up on the Xperience, and also redesigned the roof spoiler and rear diffuser. Standard equipment includes an 8.25-inch touchscreen, but it is possible to choose a larger 9.2-inch screen. A 10.25-inch cluster of digital instruments can complement the infotainment.

The latest Arona, much like the Ibiza facelift comes with 1.5 TSI and 1.0 TSI engines, with outputs ranging from 95 to 150 horses. There is no diesel engine available. However, the 90-hp TGI compatible with compressed gas promises low cost per kilometer. It can deliver up to 50% less than regular gasoline engines and 30% less than diesel.

The Arona facelift is scheduled to go into production in Q3 2021 at SEAT’s Martorell factory, Spain. It will be constructed alongside the new Ibiza.
