2022 Audi TT RS Heritage To Debut To Mark End Of An Era

The TT RS will not be available in the US.

The 2022 model year will see the end of the Audi TT RS’s availability in the American market. The Four Rings will offer a limited edition Heritage Edition as a farewell. This special model is priced at $81,450 plus a $1 045 (compared to a standard 2022 TTR RS of $73,200). The sales will begin in the early 2022.

The United States will receive 50 of the 2022 Audi TT RS. These will be available in special color combinations based on the original Audi Quattro (some images are in the gallery). Only 10 examples of each will be made. These combinations are:

  • Alpine White with Ocean Blue Leather and Diamond Silver Stitching
  • Helios Blue metallic with Diamond Silver Leather and Ocean Blue Stitching
  • Stone Gray Metallic with Crimson Red Leather and Jet Gray Stitching
  • Tizian Red metallic, Havanna Brown leather, and Jet Gray stitching
  • Malachite Green metallic, Cognac Bown Leather and Black Stitching

There are a few upgrades available for Heritage Edition models, in addition to the unique color combinations. They are 20-inch in diameter and have a five-spoke design with bi-color anthracite. Aluminum is used for the mirror caps. This package includes a rear wing removal and a sport exhaust with black oval tips. Alcantara covers the steering wheel, and the gearshift. The floor mats have the RS logo.

The Heritage Edition logo is a nice touch on the lower part of the rear quarter windows on passenger side. The logo features the firing order for the five-cylinder engine, “1-2-4-5-3”, and a Quattro script symbol.

For the model year 2022, the TT and TTS will still be available in the US. Rumours claim they are in the process of retiring. Contradicting reports indicate that the TT nameplate may disappear entirely at this generation. Or, Audi could use the moniker for an electric crossover.

The same turbocharged five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged makes 394 horsepower (294 Kilowatts) as well as 354 pound-feet (354 Newton-meters). It is connected to Audi’s Quattro all wheel-drive system via a seven speed automatic gearbox. The coupe can travel 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds.
