Will this massive price reduction attract buyers?
In case you didn’t notice, BMW offered M8 as a four-door model in the US. Also known as the HTML8 Gran Coupe for the model year 2021. It didn’t fly as high as the automaker had hoped, but it is back in the lineup for the 2022 model-year.
The M8 Coupe, and the M8 Convertible will both be available as Competition-only models. This is a huge price drop compared to the 2020 price tags. This is a great opportunity to test drive the BMW flagship in its two-door coupe version.
The BMW M8 Competition Coupe will go on sale for $130,000 in 2022, a $16,000 drop from the initial price of $146,000 when it was first offered in 2020. The M8 Competition Convertible also gets the same price reduction, at $139,500, compared to its $155,500 price tag two model years ago.
The M8 Competition Gran Coupe will also be available for $130,000 in 2022, a $13,000 savings compared to the price of $143,000 in 2020. The M8 Gran Coupe was also offered for sale as a non competition model in the 2021 model years with the same price tag.

It is important to remember that all BMW M8s available in the US will come as Competition models. This means that regardless of body type, it will be powered with BMW’s 617-horsepower twin turbo 4.4-liter V8.
