For the new model year, join the Rapid Blue color.
Chevrolet will be reorganizing the Camaro’s lineup for the 2022 model-year. The 1LE Performance Package will be removed from all Camaro models without a V8 engine. Although there is no reason for this decision, six years of steady sales declines make it not surprising that the automaker will be simplifying its sports car lineup. There are some positive developments for the model year 2022.
Atom Barry, a designer at General Motors shared an image of the 2022 Camaro in a new color. Vivid Orange is the new color for the striking orange paint.
The pricing of the new optional color is unknown, but it will likely use the same formula as its predecessor. We expect the same price premium, if not more, for the Crush Orange option.
Camaro will not be the only model year with a Vivid Orange color. According to our source, the new Rapid Blue color will replace the Shock color starting in 2021. Chevrolet provided us with an early preview of the new color in February, along with the Camaro NASCAR pace vehicle. This new addition to the color scheme was previously exclusive to the Chevy Corvette, C8.
In September, the seventh model year for the sixth-generation Camaro will be in production. While there are some minor, but still significant improvements to the 2022 model year Camaro, not much else is known except for the new colors.
