2022 Chevy Traverse loses its base trim, raising the starting price

The Traverse L has been killed.

The Chevrolet Traverse was launched on the market with a few month delay. Two new appearance packages were added for the 2021 model-year: the Midnight Edition (and the Sport Edition). According to GM Authority the SUV will feature a simplified trim line for the 2022 model-year. This is similar to the Blazer and Equinox.

According to the publication, the base L model will no longer be available for the new model year. This makes the 2022 Traverse L the most affordable version of the vehicle. The entry-level model came in a limited range of colors including Summit White and Mosaic Black Metallic, with a Jet Black interior. Dealer-installed options were not available.

The Traverse L was $30,995, while Traverse LS was $34,395. The base grade is what’s most important. GM Authority According to reports, this was usually excluded from any manufacturer rebates or incentives. The starting prices for 2022 are not available, but the most affordable 2022 Traverse will still be $3,400 less than the previous model.

For 2022, the SUV’s mid-sized size will see a slight visual overhaul. The model will still be available with the single 3.6-liter V6 engine option. It produces 310 horsepower (231 Kilowatts) as well as 266 pound-feet (366 Newton-meters). The engine is channeled to either the front wheels or both through a nine speed automatic gearbox.

For the model year 2022, three new colors will be available. The Northsky Blue Metallic and Silver Sage Metallic will replace the Cajun Red Tintcoat and Satin Steel Metallic colors.
