2022 Dacia Duster Facelift With Dual-Clutch Auto Gearbox

It has Y-shaped daytime running lamps that echo Logan and Sandero.

Renault’s budget arm Dacia will introduce a mid-cycle update to its Duster crossover. This includes a variety of changes inside and outside. The exterior of the new subcompact model is painted in Arizona Orange and features mildly modified headlights that feature a new Y-shaped LED daytime run light signature. This was first seen on the 2021 Logan sedan and Sandero hatchback .

The 2022 Duster, which has LED turn signals at its front, is the first Dacia production vehicle to use them. The B-segment crossover has light-emitting diodes that provide low beam, as seen in the Logan and Sandero. The license plate is also lit by LEDs to reduce electricity consumption and make it a little more efficient.

The new 16- and 17 inch wheels, which were tested in the wind tunnel, are more aerodynamic than previous alloys. They also emit 5.8 grams less CO 2. A new rear spoiler was also designed to make this possible. The chrome accents on the front grille complete the exterior changes.

The dashboard was redesigned to include a new infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. Although it is a low-cost car, the 2022 Duster has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in addition to the standard built-in navigation. The all-paw model has a 4×4 monitor that displays an inclinometer and altimeter as well as other pertinent data.

Dacia also has new headrests to provide greater comfort. They’re identical to the Logan and Sandero’s, who borrowed them from the Clio. A new facelift has brought about a complete redesign of the seat upholstery. The console’s high center has a wider armrest that extends 70 millimeters (2.7 inch) and has an extended base. The more expensive models have a storage capacity of 1.1 liters and two USB ports.

The most significant change is the introduction of a six speed, dual-clutch automated transmission. The EDC gearbox can only be used in conjunction with the front-wheel drive or the 150-horsepower gas engine. A six-speed manual can be used to send power to both 4×4 axles with the same engine. This engine can also be fitted to 2WD-only TCe 90 or TCe 130 engines. A dCi 115 diesel engine works with a six speed manual and is available in both 2WD- and 4WD versions.

The hybrid powertrain is not yet available, but customers who are budget conscious can choose the Duster ECOG 100 with a 50-liter liquefied petroleum gasoline (LPG), tank. This tank will be installed in the same place you would normally find your spare wheel. The bi-fuel engine has the same cargo space as the gasoline-fueled version, and it offers greater range than ever. It also reduces CO 2 emissions 9.5 percent more than a traditional gasoline engine. The bi-fuel Duster has the same warranty as the regular Duster and the same service intervals.

The updated Dacia SUV will be available in Europe starting September with the original badge. The new more modern logo will not be applied to production cars before the second half next year. The electric Spring will be replacing the Duster as the company’s only SUV. A compact Bigster SUV will replace the Duster in the future.
