2022 Ford Super Duty Tremor XLT discontinued: Report

The dealer books for model 2021 have been closed.

Our Senior Editor Jeff Perez reviewed the 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor in Lariat level trim and found it to be a highly capable Superduty truck with excellent off-road capabilities, despite its huge size. The vehicle cost $87,630 but you can still get a Super Duty Tremor Lariat for $52,445. It seems that the Super Duty Tremor base model is no longer available.

TFLtruck The entry-level XLT trim without Tremor treatment has been discontinued for the model year 2022. The base model has been discontinued, but you can still order the truck that is off-road ready in Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims. This information was confirmed by a Ford representative.

“The Super Duty Tremor will continue in the ’22MY model year!” The XLT Tremor was discontinued in our 22MY offering due to chip shortages. Customers can still order Super Duty 22MY in the Lariat King Ranch, Platinum Tremor, and Platinum Tremor packages.

Ford’s official sales sites will still show the 2021 Super Duty with a Tremor XLT available model, but they no longer allow you to order it. Although the 2022 Super Duty isn’t yet listed online (at the time this article was written), you can order one at your local Ford dealer. You can choose from either a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine or an optional 6.7 liter V8 turbodiesel. Make sure you also check out the winch .

The 6.7-liter diesel engine cost an additional $10,495. This was the case for our tester earlier in the year. Additional $4,295 was spent on the Lariat Sport package. The very basic Super Duty Tremor trim, the XLT, was available for purchase starting at $52,320.
