2022 Hyundai Kona N will start at $35,425, and goes on sale this fall

The 2022 HyundaiKona N presents itself as a hot-hatch, with a higher suspension. It boasts a powerful powertrain and sportsy looks. It will be available for purchase this fall. The price is surprisingly low. The price for the 2022 Kona N is $35,425, which includes the $1,225 delivery charge. A quick look at Hyundai’s consumer website reveals that there is no configurator yet.

A powerful powertrain and sporty appearance are included in the price. The turbocharged, 2.0-liter direct injection engine produces 276 horsepower (206 Kilowatts) & 289 poundfeet (392 Newton meters) of torque. This is coupled to a dual-clutch 8-speed transmission. For a brief boost of power, the overboost function increases the horsepower to 286 (213kW) for a few seconds. Hyundai claims the crossover can travel 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in just 5.5 seconds. It can reach speeds of 149 mph (240 km/h).

A host of standard features are included in the $35,425 price tag, including an electronic front differential and unique 19-inch forged aluminium wheels. The reinforced chassis is also included. Five drive modes can be selected to alter the exhaust note and steering weight, throttle mapping, as well as other parameters. You can also switch between a loud and quiet exhaust. Hyundai gave the performance-oriented crossover an original look with a revised bodywork. The Kona N is distinguished by microfiber suede seat covers, faux leather inserts and blue accents.

The pricing reveal by Hyundai doesn’t give a date for when the hopped up crossover will be available at dealers. However, it is expected to go on sale in the winter.
