In just a few short weeks, it will be available for purchase.
Infiniti announced the 2022 model year for the QX80 a few days ago with major interior improvements. The flagship SUV model of the premium brand will be available later in the summer at a starting price $70,600 (without destination or handling). Here is what you get for that price.
Base Luxe trim includes Napa leather seats, 20 inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, premium Bose audio system, 13 speakers, and a power liftgate. The Premium Select grade, which costs $75,385, adds unique interior trim to the 20-inch alloy wheels and replaces them with 22-inch chrome-finish rims.
The Sensory model offers upgrades such as chrome exterior accents and a more powerful 17-speaker stereo system. The all-wheel drive is available at a cost of $3,100, regardless of trim level. This brings the most expensive model down to $85,335.
The new 12.3-inch information screen will be standard equipment on every 2022 QX80. It features wireless Apple CarPlay (Android Auto still requires a USB cable) as well as an integrated navigation system with line guidance. The equipment also includes a new wireless charger for smartphones.
The QX80 continues to be available with the same engine range for the new model year. There is only one engine, a 5.6-liter V8 that produces 400 horsepower (298 Kilowatts) as well as 413 pound-feet (560 Newton meters) of torque. The unit is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission and sends power to the rear wheels, or to both via Infiniti’s All-Mode four-wheel-drive system.
In the United States and Canada, the order books for the 2022QX80 will be open in a matter of weeks. The updated full-size SUV was built in Japan in Kyushu. It will be available in other countries later in the year.
