2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: The New 4xe PHEV with 25-Mile Range

The rugged Trailhawk offroad-focused trim can be equipped with the PHEV.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2-row has a familiar appearance for the fifth generation luxury SUV. The new 4xe plug in hybrid model will not be available until the first quarter of 2021. There are many trim levels available to buyers: Summit Reserve, Altitude and Limited, Trailhawk, Trailhawk, Summit Reserve, Limited, Overland, Trailhawk and Summit.

Three powertrains are available for the new Grand Cherokee. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is the entry-level option. It produces 293 horsepower (219 kilowatts) as well as 260 pound-feet (348 Nms of torque). It can tow 6,200 pounds (2.812 kilograms). The 5.7-liter V8 can be upgraded to provide 7,200 pounds (3.2665 kilograms) of towing.

The 4xe plug in hybrid is now available on the Limited and Summit Reserve trims. The engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder with an electric assist. It produces 375 horsepower (280 kW) as well as 470 lbft (637Nm). A 17-kilowatt-hour battery packs provides 25 miles (40 km) of range when it is powered only by electric power. It can pull 6,000 pounds (2.720 kg).

The two-row Grand Cherokee is more than 11.4 inches (28.9 cms) longer than the three-row Grand Cherokee. It has a shorter wheelbase of 5 inches (12.7 cms) than the larger model.

The passenger volume of the new two-row Grand Cherokee increases by 4.1 cubic metres (0.11 cu m) The cargo space has increased by 1.4 cubic metres (0.04 cubic meters).

The Trailhawk Grand Cherokee is for you if you plan on off-roading. The Quadra-Lift air suspension system has a maximum 11.3 inches (28.7 cmimeters) of ground clearance. It also comes with the Quadra-Drive II active transmission case, which includes an electronically controlled limited-slip back differential. The suspension can be disengaged from the sway bar to improve suspension articulation in extremely rugged environments.

The Summit Reserve trim is for those who want luxury. It features Palermo leather upholstery, a McIntosh stereo with 950-watts and 19-speaker McIntosh speakers.

The interior of the new Grand Cherokee is quite sophisticated. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment displays have 10.1-inch screens, as well as a 10.0-inch head-up display. Buyers can also get a 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger.

Amazon Fire TV functionality allows people to watch Prime Video content from the rear seat entertainment system. You can also download videos if you are out in the wild and don’t have a 4G signal.
