2022 Kia E-V6 Looks Promising in First Walkaround Video

Good numbers, decent interior room.

The Kia EV6 was unveiled in the United States a few weeks ago. It made its debut after its global premiere in March 2021. There will be four models available in America. The base model, which is rear-wheel-drive and produces 167 horsepower (124kilowatts), will be followed by the RWD version that produces 218 hp (162kW) and the RWD variant with a larger battery. The entry-level AWD model features two electric motors that produce 313 hp (233 kW) combined. However, the range-topping EV6 GT with a peak output of 576 hp (576 kW) will be the main attraction.

The United States’ reservation process for the EV6 will begin this month. However, American customers will need to wait until 2022 in order to receive the new South Korean electric vehicle. We have a 14-minute walkaround video that explains the EV. It is available on YouTube.

After a brief introduction to the EV6, we are taken to a Kia promotional event, where three versions of the zero-emission vehicle were on display – the GT-Line, standard, and EV6 GT. We start with the GT model. In a quick comparison, we can see the differences in the front fascia of the various trim levels.

This video gives a quick overview of the interior. The host of the video says that the EV6 has a bit more space for passengers than the Hyundai Ioniq 5, mainly because it has a smaller sunroof. The rear windows open all the way and there’s good legroom – something that we don’t often see in modern cars.

Overall, the EV6 seems like a solid electric vehicle that offers good range, comfort, practicality, and all-round reliability. As deliveries will not begin before the start of next year, there is no US pricing yet. The GT range-topper is available starting in the summer 2022.
