2022 Kia K9 – Luxury Features in Detailed Walkaround Video

For the model year 2022, the Kia received a minor redesign.

Kia has discontinued the K900 in the US in response to poor sales numbers . However, the luxurious sedan continues as the K9 in its homeland. The K9 received a redesign mid-cycle for the model year 2022. This included a refresh of the exterior styling and a number of tweaks to the interior. The Asian Petrolhead YouTube channel has released a new walkaround video that shows the styling changes Kia to the model.

The video begins by showing the exterior design changes. This includes a larger Tiger Nose Grille with a diamond-like V-shaped pattern. The new model has narrower headlights that the previous one. A chrome garnish is also added to the front fenders. The rear features more substantial changes. A new full-width LED lightbar spans the trunk and connects the taillights, which have a redesigned lighting signature. The license plate is moved from the trunk to below the bumper.

There are subtler changes inside, paired with an infusion tech. The biggest change is the increase in screen size from 12.3 inches down to 14.5. The 2022 K9 has the same fingerprint authentication system as other Genesis and Hyundai models. This allows the vehicle to store multiple personal profiles and can change settings such as climate control and seat position.

The 2022 Kia K9 was on sale in Korea this month for just $51,000 (converted from South Korean won). The popularity of sedans in America continues to decline, so the luxury-oriented Kia won’t be seen on American roads anytime soon. The car comes in two options: a 3.8-liter V6 with 310 horsepower (231kilowatts) and a turbocharged 3.0-liter with 365 horsepower (272kW).
