Expect no major changes in its design.

Although the Kia ProCeed has not been available in the US yet, it is still available elsewhere. The ProCeed was introduced in late 2018, for the 2019 model-year. It was a shooting brake version the Kia Ceed and a platform sibling the Kia Rio. Our spy photographers once again captured a test car on the road.

Recent images show the car covered in camouflage. The front and rear fascias are still hidden beneath thick plastic wraps and cladding. Camo conceals the changes to the car’s design. The rear cladding distorts its shape. The car will feature a new grille, which is more prominent than that on the previous model. It will also have a thicker surround. It will feature new headlights and repositioned daytime running lamps. The bumper will get a new look with a revised central intake.

Although the rear appears a little more sleek than the one on the current car it doesn’t appear to be getting the same amount of redesign as the front. The bumper could be tweaked, and the taillights may receive new graphics. The interior of the Kia will not be changed much as it is undergoing a mid-cycle refresh. However, the car’s interior is beginning to look older than its younger competitors.

Kia will keep the details of the model secret. The car will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with mild-hybrid tech that produces 158 horsepower (117kilowatts), and 186 poundfeet (253 Newton meters) of torque. ProCeed GT will have a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with 201 horsepower (150 kW) as well as 195 lbft (265 Nm). The new ProCeed will be available in the second half of this year and early next.
