2022 Lexus NX Video Leaked, Check It Out Inside And Out

Someone is getting fired.

The new Lexus NX was photographed for the first time a month ago. We were shocked to discover that the camouflage has disappeared. accidentally published what appears to be an official video of the luxury crossover, which shows the updated NX in its entirety. Although the clip is no longer available via video hosting platforms, a Redditor uploaded it quickly to Streamable, where it’s still accessible at the time of writing.

The German license plate suggests that the leak may have originated in Europe. It shows the NX 200 variant, which is presumably the entry-level model. Oddly, “NX 350h” is mentioned at the end of the video before it refers to a upcoming 450h+ model with a plug in hybrid powertrain. The styling has been leaked in its entirety.

Although the exterior looks are not significantly different from the current model’s, there are some notable changes. To improve the appearance of the front, the LED daytime running lamps are now integrated into main headlights. The spindle grille remains large, but it now has a new pattern and vertical ornaments.

We are looking at the second-generation model. It is located at the back, where the NX has the LED light bar. The second generation appears to also have faux exhaust tips. It’s possible that those vertical air vents may also be for show. The overall design has been improved by Lexus, but not too much.

The inside is a completely different story. The 2022 NX has received a significant overhaul. It ditches the infamous touchpad and features a large touchscreen. You will find separate controls for the dual climate settings and a rotary knob to control the driving modes. A generously-sized wireless charging pad, a digital driver’s display, compact gear lever, new switchgear and no analog clock are also being noticed.

We are astonished to see that the exterior badge clearly states NX 200. However, there is an EV mode button located between the seats. This could indicate that this is the NX350h. The PHEV version will likely use the powertrain of the Toyota RAV4 Prime. However, nothing is yet official.

The world premiere of the NX, which is expected to be in 2022, could happen in the next few months. The cat is out of the bag, so Lexus may move the premiere ahead.
