The Concept EQG, which debuted at the 2021 Munich Motor Show, is currently the talk of town in the Mercedes Benz G-Class World. Although the all-electric offroader is in production, not all G-Class news at the show is electric. Mercedes has some interesting updates on the G-Class that is powered by combustion. You can purchase them right now.
G-Class Professional Line – Say hello! professional refers to off-roading, which is more fundamental in G-Class DNA. You can check the box to receive a G-Class on professional-line 18-inch five-spoke wheels with chunky tires. A set of mudflaps is included, as well as mesh stone guards that protect the G’s iconic round headlights.
This is the standard equipment. Mercedes also highlights the Professional Line Exterior, which includes several other items through the in-house customization program. Mercedes also mentions the roof rack which Mercedes says is perfect for attaching a roof-top tent. As an additional, the spare tire holder at the back and the striking shade of copper orange mango exterior are also available. Additional features include blacked-out bumpers. The optional Night Package adds black mirrors to the grille and a three-pointed star in black.
The Professional Line Exterior upgrade doesn’t represent the only innovation for 2022. A dark-tinted rear window is now available. Interior ambient lighting options are expanded from 8 to 64 colors. The 2022 G-Class comes standard with pre-equipment for rear-seat entertainment as well as a towing hitch. You can choose between Exclusive Line or AMG Line exterior trim. Buyers can choose from Standard, Exclusive, or Superior Line for the interior.
Mercedes does not mention pricing changes for the G-Class 2022. This vehicle will be displayed at IAA Mobility 2021 until September 12.
