2022 Mercedes C-Class C300 and C300 C300 4Matic Detailed for US Market

Customers can choose from three trim levels and all will come with an optional AMG Line package.

It was just over three months ago that Mercedes revealed the C-Class (W206). Now we have all details about the US-spec sedan. The BMW 3 Series rival will arrive at dealers in 2022 in C300 and C300 4Matic versions with a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine. The four-pot has 255 horsepower and 295 pounds-feet torque. A 48-volt mild hybrid setup gives it a temporary boost of 20 HP and 148 lbft.

Mercedes will be redefining the trim structure of the C-Class luxury sedan by offering it in Premium, Exclusive and Pinnacle flavors. The C-Class comes with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s screen and an 11.9-inch touchscreen, borrowed from the S-Class. Mercedes will offer a smaller 9.5-inch infotainment system in Europe, while the US-spec car has the larger screen.

Even the entry-level C-Class Premium comes with a sunroof, while the Pinnacle and Exclusive models come with a panoramic sunroof at an additional charge. An LED headlight and taillight are standard on all C-Class Premium models. The optional Digital Light with adaptive curve illumination is available on all three trims.

The base C-Class comes with heated front seats. This can be upgraded to include ventilation. The Premium, Exclusive, or Pinnacle all have the AMG Line With Night Package. This package includes a more aggressive body kit, AMG-branded wheels, and a diamond grille with the chrome-plated three-pointed star. The optional package includes a flat-bottomed steering column, AMG floor mats and MBTex material (vinyl), for the dashboard.

Upgrade to the top-of-the-line version and you’ll get high-tech features like a head-up display or augmented reality for your navigation system. If you’re willing to spend more, you can check the boxes in the options list. You’ll find additional USB ports, a Driver Assistance package, and even a dashcam.

Unfortunately, the wagon is not coming to the United States. Europe will get the long-roof version, as not all Old Continent customers have flocked towards SUVs and crossovers. To complement the larger E-Class-based model, we have here in the US, the only non-AMG E Class Wagon. The more practical body design will be spawned an All-Terrain version.
