The MSRP base is $27,000. This includes the $7,500 federal credit.
Automakers often make small price adjustments to new models of vehicles. It is not common for automakers to make significant price adjustments with very little equipment change. Nissan has done exactly that with the 2022 Leaf. Prices vary by trim, but are approximately $4,300- $6,500 lower than 2021.
The entry-level 2022 Leaf S is now available at $27,400. The price includes a 40-kWh battery that powers an electric motor with 147 horsepower (110 Kilowatts) & 236 pound-feet (312 Newton-meterss) of torque. It has an estimated range of 149 mi. The price of the same car in 2021 was $31,670. This makes the new model $4,270 less. The 2022 Leaf is available for $7,500 EV federal credit. Its effective price is $19,990. We suspect this was not a coincidence.
The price reduction is not limited to the base model. The Leaf is available in five options from Nissan, and each of them will be significantly cheaper for 2022. Below is a complete 2022 Leaf price breakdown, with comparisons to 2021. Pricing does not include the $975 destination fee.
