2022 Nissan Patrol Nismo Revealed with 428 Horsepower and F1 Fog Light

This performance SUV has been redesigned with massive 22-inch wheels.

The most recent facelift to the Patrol was introduced by Nissan in September 2019. However, the newer Nismo version has just been revealed. The Armada , a body-on-frame SUV that is also known as the Patrol , looks more aggressive than the standard model due to its larger body and many red accents.

The Patrol’s high-performance version rides on 22-inch wheels. It also has a neat LED fog light similar to Formula 1 cars. A rear diffuser is included and there are two large exhaust tips. Nissan has given the Patrol a honeycomb-patterned front grille to distinguish it from its regular counterpart. To further emphasize the point, the Nismo badge is added.

The Patrol Nismo’s heart is the same naturally-aspirated 5.6-liter V8 that produces 428 horsepower and 413 pounds-feet (560 Newton meters) of torque. It is linked to a seven speed automatic transmission. It has 28 hp more power than the standard V8 Patrol, but the same amount torque. Nismo has modified the suspension to make it more agile, giving it a Bilstein setup.

The two-screen layout that was introduced on the regular model’s cabin has been retained by Nissan’s facelift to the Nismo tuned Patrol. The SUV’s interior is already showing its age despite being updated. The sixth generation (Y62), was launched around 11 years ago. Therefore, an all-new model cannot be expected soon enough.

The interior has been updated by Nissan with carbon fiber accents and Alcantara upholstery. However, you can tell that the Nismo Patrol does not have the most advanced SUV. The vehicle boasts a Bose 13-speaker sound system, as well as support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. It also has a variety of safety systems.

The SUV, which can seat eight people, is already available in Middle East. It’s priced higher than the V6 Patrol models (275-hp) and V8 Patrol models (400-hp V8 Patrol).
