The remainder of the cabin is not production-ready.
The Nissan Z Club forum has leaked a photo that shows a blurry view of the next-gen Z’s cabin (or 400Z, depending on the rumor). The interior is a bright shade of blue.
Although the image is fuzzy, it appears that the chairs have faux suede centers with leather bolsters. The Nissan Z Club comments noted that the shade of blue used in this image is very similar to the original 240Z’s upholstery.
The interior of this car is pre-production. The dashboard is made of very shiny plastic, which makes it look cheap. The dull finish on the gearshift surround is even worse. It is also quite noticeable that the gaps between panels are so large.
The center stack has the HVAC vents at the top and the infotainment display below. We hope the display’s low position doesn’t cause too much distraction from driving. The dashboard has three gauges that face the driver.
A driver looks at a screen for a digital instrument. Unfortunately, there aren’t many photos of the user interface.
Recent leaks suggest that Nissan simply calls the coupe the Z. Prices start at $34,995. The VR30DDTT twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 is reportedly included. It produces 400 horsepower (298 kilowatts), and 350 pound-feet (475 Newton meters) in the Q60 Red Sport. Buyers would be able to select a six-speed manual or Mercedes-Benz-sourced nine-speed automatic. These rumors could be true and the coupe could prove to be a performance bargain.
The Z can be upgraded with optional packages starting at $5,000. Type S includes Brembo brakes, thicker bars and improved cooling. The Type T features leather upholstery, heated or cooled electrically adjustable seat heating and cooling, adaptive cruise control, and heated/cooled seats.
The Z is expected to launch in the second half of 2021. This timing is logical considering the many pre-production models which have been photographed recently.
