2022 Subaru BRZ Prices Starting at $27,995 with Manual Transmission

Only limited models that have an automatic exceed $32,000 before options.

For 2022 , sports car enthusiasts have a brand new Subaru BRZ that offers more power. We now know the price of that extra power and that is why we are happy. The new entry-level BRZ has a starting price at $27,995 including destination fees. This is actually less then the previous model. It’s not an apples-to–apples comparison. We’ll explain why in a moment.

Buyers will receive a BRZ Premium at this price with a six speed manual transmission and a large list of standard-issue accessories. A Torsen limited slip differential, LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels are included at no additional cost. Subaru’s Starlink 8.0 inch infotainment screen is also included. Stability control with a dedicated track mode is also included. The six-speed automatic is $29,595, while the upscale BRZ Limited costs $30,495 for the manual and $32,295 for the automatic.

These figures don’t include Subaru’s $960 mandatory destination fee. Below is a breakdown of the price by trim and transmission, with destination fees.

2022 Subaru BRZ Trim Level

Transmission

MSRP (Including $960 Destination).
BRZ Premium Manual with six speeds $28,955
BRZ Premium Automatic six-speed $30,555
BRZ Limited Manual with six speeds $31,455
BRZ Limited Automatic six-speed $33,255

You can expect more tech and visual punch when you upgrade to the BRZ Limited. You get 18-inch alloys with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires. On the tech side, blind-spot monitoring includes lane-change assistance and cross-traffic alert. The package includes Subaru Starlink services and Ultrasuede materials, with leather trim.

Limited trim was the BRZ’s previous entry-level model. The new Premium model is a little more expensive than the Limited trim, but it’s not as well-dressed as its predecessor. The new BRZ Limited, which is $1,650 less expensive than the previous model, is also more powerful, and has better equipment. We think buyers who want to experience the BRZ as a pure sports car would do well behind the wheel the Premium model.

In the fall 2021, the BRZ will be available at Subaru dealers.
