Honda makes the next-gen CR-V seem more difficult.
The Next-gen Honda CRV has a sleeker appearance which replaces the smooth lines of the current model. Our artist took out the camouflage to show how crossover might appear when it arrives at showrooms.
The most noticeable change in the new CR-V’s front end is the redesign. The crossover appears tougher because of the blunter nose. The trapezoidal grille at the top of the grille is large and wide when viewed from the front. You can also find narrower headlights with an angled orientation at the corners. The trim is located just below the hood and runs between the lamps.
The vehicle’s flanks are simple in design and evoke the latest Passport or Pilot. The shoulder line is marked by a distinct crease. The C- and D-pillars have a window that has an upward kink at its bottom. This is a common design feature for Honda’s crossovers.
Although it is not visible in the rendering, spy shots offer a view into the rear of the CRV. The tail looks sharper because the rear window is angled at a higher angle. You can also see the taillights from a more pointed angle.
The new CR-V has a larger footprint, which should mean more space inside. This allows the US-exclusive version the next-gen HRV to grow larger. Honda plans to increase the production of this smaller crossover.
The exact date of the new CR-V’s arrival is not known. It is expected to debut in 2022, and go on sale by 2023 according to current information. It is possible that spy photos will be taken before the unveiling. The current model has been updated for 2020, so it will be fresh until the new model arrives.
