Nissan doesn’t hesitate to show off its new Z car in public.
In May, Byron Glover Jr. (also known as Drive 615) spotted the Nissan Z Proto while it was on its way to a local Cars & Coffee event in Nashville. He was also able to take a look at the prototype, which was something he didn’t expect.
Glover saw the 2023 Nissan Z car already out and about. The production version was also seen going to the same event in the same area, and parking at the same spot. Although it seems like a coincidence, Glover was able to observe the differences between the prototype and production sports coupes.
The new Nissan Z car was in metal, but the closest encounter we had with it was the blue one. The differences are highlighted by seeing the Z car in both prototype and production forms in yellow.
The Nissan Ariya crossover EV was also spotted alongside the new Z. It attended the local Cars & Coffee event with right-hand drive configuration. Also included in the convoy is the 300ZX, the grandfather of Z cars. It’s evident that the new Z car’s rear lights are reminiscent of the 300ZX.
It’s clear that the Z car is being well received. If you love the design, Nissan’s Japanese design team can be thanked for being selected from the 100 submitted worldwide.
The 2023 Nissan Z is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine that produces 400 horsepower (298 Kilowatts) as well as 350 pound-feet (475 Newton meters) of torque. These numbers are a 68 horsepower (51 kW), and 80 lbft (108 Nm), improvement over the 370Z.
