BMW 5 Series Mid-Cycle Refresh Imagined in New RenderingIt is very similar to spy photos.
Mid-cycle refreshes are in order for the BMW 5 Series wagon and sedan. Camouflaged prototypes that have had the rear and front fascias covered were spotted all summer. Although we don’t know the exact design, we do know that it won’t be a major redesign. It’s still several years away. BMW will likely give the 5 Series new front- and rear fascia designs. This design will be revealed by BMW when it becomes available. Our colleagues decided to render the new 5 Series before its official debut.
BMW 5 Series Refresh Coming Soon
These renderings, front and rear three quarters, show many of the design changes that are expected to be made to the 5 Series. BMW is known for its larger kidney bean grilles in the 5 Series rendering. New look is also given to the headlights. A redesigned lower front fascia, lower intakes and new 5 Series rendering are all part of the anticipated changes.
The rendering shows the rear more in a subdued tone. The rendering shows the taillights appearing larger than they were on the previous model. The spy photos don’t show how big the lighting elements might grow. The rear fascia is treated just like the front with a new design, diffuser and design. This will be available on the refreshed 5 Series.
We will have to wait and see how accurate this rendering compares to the actual car. The unveiling of the refreshed 5 Series by BMW is expected to take place over a year. The new 5 Series may not be revealed until mid- or late 2020. It should take cues from recent BMW offerings, such as the 2020 BMW X6 or 2020 BMW M8. The powertrain information is still under strict security, as automakers do with future models. So we still have much to learn about the new offering. This rendering provides a glimpse of what we can expect.
