2020 Ford F-Series SUPERDUTY Can Tow Up to 37,000 Pounds

The new Heavy-Duty Pickup King is here.

Ford revealed the 2020 F-Series SUPER Duty pickup earlier in the year, but did not reveal all details. Ford failed to disclose the company’s most important metrics for heavy-duty pickup trucks, namely towing and payload capacity. Ford published details about the new 7.3-liter gasoline engine. However, towing figures have remained mysterious – at least until now. Ford has the numbers, and they are quite impressive. According to Dearborn, Ford earned several “best in-class” designations.

Ford says that the 6.2-liter gasoline engine V8 is a better choice if the diesel engine is not your preferred powertrain. It can carry 7,850 pounds (3.560 kg) of payload and is another “best in-class” Ford product. It produces 385 horsepower (287 kW) as well as 430 lb/ft (583 Nm), of torque. The third and final engine choice is the 7.3-liter gasoline V8. It produces 430 horsepower (320 kW) as well as 475 lb/ft (644 Nm), of torque. The 2020 Super Duty’s maximum towing and payload capacities are dependent on many factors, including the body style and engine ratio.
