It is nothing like its predecessor.
Since its introduction four years ago, the Toyota Mirai isn’t looked at all. Toyota appears to be taking a step back. Toyota has unveiled the 2021 Toyota Mirai. It is a remarkable redesign of its hydrogen-powered electric car. This is a striking design change, but it’s also due to many different modifications to the model.
The 2021 Mirai’s pivot to a rear-wheel drive platform over a front-wheel drive one is the most important. According to the automaker the switch allowed designers the opportunity to create a sedan that is wider, longer, lighter, and lower than the previous model. It also made it stronger. Standard wheels are twenty-inch. Toyota The Mirai sedan’s design is a tribute to coupes. However, the striking blue color comes from a multi-layered painting process.
The interior of the 2021 Mirai is also being revitalized with high-quality materials and a new design. The sedan’s sleek styling is better suited by the cleaner design. It also includes a digital rearview mirror that can be used as a navigation system and a JBL 14-speaker sound system.
Toyota did not provide details on the powertrain, a hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicle. Toyota targets a 30% increase in range. The Mirai’s current generation has a range of around 310 miles. The new sedan would have a range of approximately 400 miles with a 30-percent increase. The car will go on sale in late 2012, so more details about the powertrain will be available closer to its launch.
What else is Toyota developing?
Although hydrogen-powered cars aren’t yet mainstream, Toyota isn’t abandoning this technology. Our spy photographers captured the Lexus version earlier this year – but we didn’t know that at the time. The Lexus was a long, low sedan that Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cells electric vehicles will continue to be on the road for several more years.
