This particular model was caught being tested earlier today. It is thought to be a chassis test mule for 2018 Porsche 911 (992).
The model is still in its early stages of development so there aren’t many details. This means that the car will have a wider rear axle and other new components below.
Although Porsche has not yet revealed much information about the next-generation model, reports suggest that it will be riding on an updated platform. It is expected that the car will feature an evolutionary design, so it can be instantly recognized.
Base models will continue to use the twin-turbo three-liter six-cylinder, but we can expect a hybrid variant to be added. It is also believed that the company may be looking at an electric model, but it is not clear if this particular variant will be approved. Executives have already questioned the cost and need for such a variant.
