A spectacular debut for a spectacular wagon.
It makes perfect sense that Genesis launches the G70 Shooting Brake in Europe, as Europe is the last remaining bastion of wagons within a world dominated by SUVs. It’s similar to the Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake but has two additional doors that it should in order to be a legitimate shooting brake. However, it’s still one the most beautiful cars we’ve ever seen with an extended roof.
The more practical G70 sedan was revealed online several months ago. It is now making its dynamic debut at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed . Genesis captured a stunning video using a drone as it drove up the hill. Gethin Jones, a former British F2 rally champion who is also a precision driver, was behind the wheel of G70 Shooting Brake.
The video was recorded in one continuous shot. It starts with an aerial view over the extravagant estate. This makes it a little more exciting. The drone enters the building to film the Duke and Duchess of Richmond having tea, while Genesis updates him on news from South Korea. The drone starts to chase the G70 Shooting Brake on the 1.16-mile (1.86 km) track.
The family-friendly G70 will be available shortly after the G80 sedan and GV80 SUV. The more luxurious Genesis models, which are available on Euro land in Germany, the UK and Switzerland, will be available for purchase starting this summer. The luxury division of Hyundai is also looking to sell the Electric G80 in Europe.
The Genesis lineup will be expanded with the addition of an electric vehicle in the form of a crossover. It could be called GV60. It will be a sister model to the EV6 and Ioniq 5, which will both be sold throughout Europe. It is not yet clear if similar plans are being made for the Genesis model.
