The GT3 racer version of the SLS AMG will include an unspecified power increase and a lack cabin comforts. There’s also that huge rear wing.
These are the first images (leaked) from the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 racing car.
This car features a heavily modified body. It includes the large front bumper with central intake and lower splitter. Canard air foils are also included.
The interior has been completely stripped of all creature comforts, including navigation and air conditioning, and replaced with carbon fiber buckets, a center console, an LED cluster display instrument cluster, racing steering wheels, fire suppression system, and roll cage.
The SLS AMG GT3 racer is not well-detailed. The SLS AMG GT3 racer will be powered by an unknown power increase over the 571 PS (420kW/ 563 BHP) standard model. This is somewhere north of 600 PS (441kW/ 592bhp). It’s not much to add beyond that. Take a look at these photos to see what you can find.
The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 racing car will be unveiled in spring 2011. On the 27th of March, more details and larger photos will be made public.
