Range Rover Sport Vr Complete Goodwood Run on Two Wheels

After a failed attempt earlier that day,…

Terry Grant, who was driving a Nissan Juke Nismo RS on two wheels, set the record for fastest one-mile covered by a car with two wheels at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2011. His time was 2:55 and 55 seconds. In 2015, he returned with a Nissan Juke Nismo RS to increase the record’s time by 45 seconds to 2:0. The skilled stuntman was back at the festival last weekend with another Range Rover Sport SV similar to the one he used last summer.

Grant tried again to conquer the hill climb with only half the Range Rover Sport’s tires after a mishap (see video below). The lap was completed in 2 minutes, 24.5 seconds. This is definitely an entertaining video that’s worth checking out. This is the Guinness World Record for fastest car-on-two-wheels mile.

It is easy to see the driver’s concentration during the lap. Even the smallest error could have ended the two-wheeled attempt. Terry Grant is the man who can make it possible, despite being a heavy SUV. His resume includes records for fastest one-mile reverse speed, most donuts consumed in 100 seconds, tightest distance driven on two wheels, fastest time to change a wheel on a spinning vehicle, and narrowest J-turn. We’re only scratching the surface.

It takes skill to drive the SUV up the hill using only two wheels and navigate through narrow turns. We’re grateful that the Goodwood Festival of Speed hosts such events almost every year.
