Chana Benni leads the passenger car introduction to SA

Chana’s Benni, the first passenger car to enter South Africa’s market, has been officially announced. The car is one of the most affordable in South Africa.

Chana, a South African company that has been on the market since June 2006 has announced it will begin importing passenger cars to the country in March. Chana has not sold any commercial vehicles. First of these people carriers is the 1.3-litre Benni, which will have front-wheel drive 63kW and 110Nm.

The Benni comes in two trim levels: Lux and Exclusive. It is available only with a 5-speed manual transmission. Lux will be listed at R74,900/EUR6,070. You will find comfort features such as air conditioning and colour-coded bumpers, side mirrors, and integrated fog lamps. Extraordinary trim features include electric windows around, power steering, an ABS, CD player and CD player. These are all features that will pamper all Benni buyers.
Chana SA has even built a rally car from one of their commercial vehicles. The company traveled 21,000km to Chongqing, China last year with some bold/slow-headed media. They used, among other vehicles, a Benni. It is therefore not difficult to sustain.
