Two Indiana men claim they have created the fastest street-legal car on the planet. The Maxximus G-Force is said to be faster than the Bugatti Veyron in acceleration, going from 0-60mph (60 km/h) in just 2.1 seconds. It can go from 0 to 100mph (161 km/h), in just 4.54 seconds, and to 0-100-0mph in 8.86 seconds.

The Veyron can reach 60 mph from a dead-end in 2.46 seconds and can go 0-100-0 in 9.9.

The Maxximus must reach 257 mph to be considered the fastest production car. The SSC Ultimate Aero TT currently holds the title. The 6.35-liter twin-turbo V8 engine powers the SSC Aero. It produces 1287 horsepower, 1112 ft.lb of torque and has a top speed at 256 mph. The Aero’s top speed is 272 mph, despite the record.

The Maxximus G-Force is powered by a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from Chevrolet. Although torque ratings are not known, the car is 50 pounds lighter than the SSC Aero. This means that it will be able to beat the official record for “fastest production vehicle”. The World Records Academy has already certified it as the Fastest Street-Legal Car. The credentials and verification process used by the WRA are not known.

Maxximus G Force is Dr. David McMahan’s brainchild, along with his chauffeur Marlon Kirby. McMahan expressed his desire for a one-of-a kind supercar during a ride in a limousine. McMahan shared their passion for cars and Kirby offered to design the vehicle in exchange for McMahan’s financial support. Kirby purchased the British-made ultima GTR 720 and began work on the G-Force. Kirby replaced the chassis, drivetrain, and gearbox with an aluminum block. The three-speed transmission is controlled by paddle-shifters. AP Racing brakes use six-piston calipers with 14.2-inch rotors to slow the car down.
This engine is not designed to be raced for long periods of time. The engine can burn through fuel in just nine minutes.
The Maxximus G-Force, which cost $3 million to make, will be presented to the public on 30 April at Big Boy’s Toys Super Show Abu Dhabi.
