This is a terrible idea.
It is not something anyone wants to see their car repossessed. Many people find it a lifeline to work and education. However, when the bill is due, someone must pay. Repossession companies are often the first to help. People try to keep their cars in good repair, but they see all kinds of crazy behavior from them. A new Reddit video shows how far one woman will go to keep her Dodge Durango.
The video starts mid-repossession. The tow truck driver has already lifted the SUV’s front wheels off the ground. The driver is trying to reverse the underlift. However, the tires are already spinning. After several unsuccessful attempts to free the Durango from the car, the woman takes a moment to examine her situation and then returns to the driver’s seat to attempt again. The Durango will eventually find enough traction to free itself from the strap that wraps around the passenger wheel.
The SUV’s removal is not without consequences. As it lifts off the lift, the Durango turns into two parked cars and damages each. As she speeds off, the driver shifts the Durango into Drive and clips the underlift with her bumper. The Durango ran into a Nissan Sentra as well as a Nissan Altima. This clearly damaged the Sentra’s rear bumper.
It is unclear what the woman was trying accomplish. The woman’s actions were clearly captured on camera and provided police with ample evidence. The repossession took place at the woman’s workplace, so it should not be difficult for police and the repossession company to find her. She will be allowed to keep her Durango. Police could also charge her with fleeing from the scene and hitting two cars parked nearby. She made a migraine out of a headache.
