It’s back!
Today’s trailer for Ghostbusters Afterlife was released. An old star has returned: the Ecto-1, an iconic 1959 Cadillac ambulance that became a ghost-mobile. This movie is set after the events in the previous two. It follows Callie (Carrie Coon), who is a single mother, along with her children Phoebe (MckennaGrace) and Travis (Finn Wolfhard), as they move into their grandfather’s Oklahoma house that’s full of strange Ghostbuster relics. As ghosts return to terrorize Summerville and leave the children to search for the relics, things quickly turn sour.
Who are you going to call?
It’s a welcome sight to see the Cadillac return, a brand that was a huge success with its 2016 reboot. The Ecto-1 is an iconic movie character, right up there with Eleanor in Gone In 60 Seconds and the Pontiac Trans Am in Smokey & the Bandit. It’s exciting to see the Ecto-1’s red body and fins as well as all the gadgets and gizmos on top, whizzing across your screen.
Ghostbusters features Jason Reitman and his father Ivan Reitman in front of the camera. Ivan Reitman directed the first Ghostbusters movie back in 1984. He also produced.
