Reports say that a Bugatti Chiron Roadster is being planned for a one-off event

It would join an already packed lineup.

According to a report by TheSupercarBlog, Bugatti has reportedly built a unique Chiron motorbike. The publication reports that the exclusive Chiron model will cost PS9 million before tax. This model, a Chiron with an opened-top, is a good idea, as we have yet to see one by the French automaker.

We have reached out to Bugatti to confirm that the model is being developed. If we receive back, we will update the story. Future products are not something automakers want to discuss. This wouldn’t be the first open top Bugatti. The Grand Sport was available back in the days when the Veyron was produced by the automaker. This wasn’t a unique model though, as this Chiron reports.

The report’s interesting aspect is the statement that “the [open-top] Chiron will be offered to customers”. This makes it seem like more than just a one-off model. It can still be produced in a very limited number of units, but that doesn’t make it impossible. Its high price suggests that it will be quite exclusive.

TheSupercarBlog thinks that the open-top Chiron might be something special too. This suggests that a speedster-like model, with a wraparound windshield (think Veyron Barchetta) could be what Bugatti has in mind. Bugatti has no reservations about expanding its Chiron range with exclusive and mainstream models. As mainstream as Bugatti can get.

The open-top Chiron will join a slew of Bugatti models. Bugatti introduced several new models since the Chiron’s introduction in 2016, including the Super Sport 300+ and Chiron Pur Sport. There are also exclusives such as the Centodieci and Divo. A version with an open top, regardless of whether it follows the Grand Sport route, or Veyron Barrchetta, would be a good fit. It is unlikely that Bugatti would have trouble finding customers for it.
