The all-new Mazda3 is now in sheet met
The Mazda3, a brand new 2019 model, will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The fourth-gen five-door is a new design with a tech-focused interior and a variety of engine options, including the long-awaited Skyactiv-X. It should be available in the U.S. by early next year.
Mazda offers a variety of Skyactiv-G 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5-liter Skyactiv G powerplants. They can be paired with manual or automatic transmissions depending on where they are sold. The 3 is dressed in an updated version of Mazda’s Kodo design language. It was inspired by the Kai concept last year. A larger grille and integrated headlights highlight the front fascia.
Mazda designers chose a minimalist theme inside, eliminating many buttons and making the 8.8 inch touchscreen the central point. Mazda3’s infotainment system is managed by a similar dial controller, but it now comes with an updated version.
New safety features include a Cruising and Traffic Support system (CTS), which adds traffic jam assistance with the ability of controlling the accelerator, brake and steering. Prevents collisions at blind intersections by displaying front cross traffic alert.
The small Mazda3 could make a significant impact on the Mazda lineup. It will be available in dealers by early 2019, although no price information has been released. The L.A. Auto Show allowed us to take a closer look at Mazda3’s new model.
